Typically speaking, I only run when chased; even then, imminent and impending doom must also be present. That is, except when it is in support of a wonderful cause and well…pancakes are involved! Enter the IIDA “Design Dash- TuTu Run,” it was a fundraisn’, pancake-eatin’, tutu-filled good time! BA Designs was proud to be a Silver Sponsor of the event, held at Shawnee Mission Park, benefitting the Kansas City Ballet Scholarship Programs. Our motley crew, (many adorned in “BA Orange” tutu’s) laced up their sneaks, hydrated and hit the rolling hills of the park at a well-caffeinated turtle pace. We were thankful to finally hit the turnaround point, as our tutu’s and endurance were waning. Luckily, the variety of costumed “characters” we saw along the way kept our minds off the fact that the return trip was a steady climb uphill (with that, “Kudos” to this team from Hoefer Wysocki Architects for their awesome, “Captain America” gear!) The finish line offered a celebration with music, delicious pancakes & entertainment that only an automated-10-pancakes-made-at-one-time-griddle can afford (gotta love Chris Cakes!)
We are thrilled to have been a supporter of the “IIDA Design Dash- TuTu Run” and hope to see you at the race next year!
